We all know we're in for it... The chill of the weather, the warmth of the holidays, and the food of the upcoming festivities. All of this can take a toll on our running abilities! It's hard to get out the door on those cold, dark winter days, but maintaining your fitness is important if you hope to get that new PR or finish a distance new or unfamiliar to you in 2020 or at the San Francisco Hot Chocolate 15k. We want to make your winter running more fun and exciting with friends and fitness-minded people like you! Join our Winter Warriors program -our super fun, social running program that will keep you motivated and active this winter. Maintain that hard-earned fitness from the summer-fall, so you can get that new PR in the spring!
Worried about the cold? Winter Warriors starts and ends at Fleet Feet - A warm, dry place to start, a safe place to store your personal items, and a fun place to hang out with other runners!
PROGRAM DETAILS:
- Dates: Winter Warriors starts Sunday, December 1st, 2019 and ends Sunday, January 12th, 2020
- Location: Fleet Feet Pleasanton
- Goal Race: San Francisco Hot Chocolate 15k
- Cost: $39 (price increases to $49 on November 15)
Information/ Q&A Meeting: Monday, November 11th, 2019 @6:15pm and Wednesday, November 13th @6:15pm at Fleet Feet Pleasanton. Fleet Feet will provide plenty of chocolatey goodies at both info sessions!
THE PROGRAM WORKS LIKE THIS: Simply sign up through Fleet Feet Pleasanton. There will be plenty of opportunities to earn points and miles on the Fleet Feet App. Each time you participate in a group run/workout, bring a friend, participate in weekly themes you will earn points. At the end of our 6-week program, the total points you’ve earned will give you multiple entries into our end-of-program raffle. There is a maximum amount of points one can earn, which means you will have participated in all Winter Warrior planned events! If that’s you, you will win a 50% OFF voucher for any 2020 training program! Along with that, you’ll be crowned the 2019 Fleet Feet Pleasanton Winter Warrior Champion. Now that’s a cool title!

Program Requirements: You must be comfortable running or run/walking 10k at a 13 minute pace or faster. You should be running 4 times per week, with a total of 9 miles or more, and must not be injured. You must also be comfortable participating in strength, and circuit routines. The first Sunday group workout will be 6 miles! We know if you are comfortable at this distance at the start, you'll have more fun, be less likely to get injured and be successful!
*Due to daylight savings, we must enforce a safety precaution for all Wednesday evening workouts. At least 1 flashing reflective item and 1 solid reflective item must be worn to participate.
Registration Information:
- Minimum of 6 participants
- Limited to 40 participants.
- Registration closes November 30th or when the class is full.
- Registration fee does not include race entry fee.
- There is no waitlist
