Fleet Feet Metairie is celebrating 2 years in business. As a special gift to you we will have Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength and Conditioning Coach with Evolution Endurance Coaching Jonathan Burke. Dr Burke will be taking us through a strength training workout geared toward runners. During this hour you will learn an active warm-up, participate in a 25 minute workout, and perform a cool down. With upwards of 80 percent of runners being sidelined a year due to injury, incorporating resistance training can not only make you more resilient and decrease your risk of injury, but also improve your overall performance as well. After the workout followed by a 2 mile run we will have some pancakes, fruit & of course mimosas! Please feel free to wear your favorite red, blue and white gear.
