ROBIE Creek Training Group 2025
Have you ever wondered if you could conquer the ROBIE Creek Half Marathon?! Well we at Fleet Feet are here to tell you, that if you can walk/hike for 45 consecutive minutes, you absolutely CAN complete ROBIE by joining this Training Program!!
Our 12 Week Robie Creek Training Program is led by Coach A.K., a Robie Creek Expert and Age Group Award Winner, and Assistant Coach Amy- a running and Robie Creek enthusiast. Coach A.K. is passionate about this race, knowledgeable about the course, and EXCITED to help others cross the finish line at Robie Creek. Whether you plan to run, run/walk interval, hike, or ruck the course this Training Program is for you.
The unique programming approach is time-based, not distance based- allowing for literally ANY fitness level to participate and successfully complete the race in April. This also means that the entire group will always start AND finish together, although the distance completed each week will vary participant to participant. Come to our Info Session on January 15 to learn more about this unique and specialized training approach to this specialty race!
Our TWELVE WEEK Robie Creek Training Program will begin the week of January 27th and will offer FOUR COACHED weekly group meetup options. You can come to as few or as many as you would like. Your training program will consist of three strongly recommended days of programming, and three optional. Each plan offers a balance of run and/or walk/hike/ruck outdoor workouts, a second outdoor elevation workout OR a progressive treadmill workout (for when the weather is not favorable to go outside), mobility/stretching and resistance band sessions sent over zoom, cross training twice a month at a local Meridian Gym, and rest days to gradually increase your fitness, elevate your ability to climb up and down hills (don’t underestimate the difficulty of running DOWNHILL!), and ultimately provide a community to cheer you across the Robie Creek Finish Line!! Each week will be fully programmed for you. You will receive three highly recommended days of training, and three optional days of training (that can be interchanged with things you already love incorporating). You will choose either a Saturday or Sunday Group Run Meetup on the Robie Course, one Tuesday Afternoon Group Meetup on 8th Street, one mobility/stretch/resistance band virtual class, bi-weekly strength and conditioning workouts at a local Meridian Gym (no membership required) that will alternate with bi-weekly Trail Runs throughout the Treasure Valley. Plus, your training group will provide connection and motivation to help you stay on track, find a running/hiking buddy, and have fun along the way.
The ROBIE Creek Training Group culminates with our Goal Race on April 19- The Robie Creek Half Marathon. We will have a group Sign Up Party on February 17 at 11:30 so we can all be online together at HIGH NOON to secure our registrations together. Your coaches will be able to help you on that day if you need it. Registrations are very limited and signing up is time-sensitive; but never fear!
