The Big Run 5/10K Training Program 2025

Have you ever experienced the runner’s high that comes with crossing a finish line? There’s TRULY nothing quite like it. Whether it’s your first ever 5/10K, or your fiftieth, Fleet Feet Treasure Valley has a training program that will get you to the finish line faster, stronger, AND injury free!!
This 10 week Big Run Training Program presented by Brooks will begin the week of March 31st and will offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced plans to choose from. Each plan offers a balance of run and/or walk workouts, mobility/stretch videos, strength and conditioning gym workouts, run skills training, and dedicated rest days to gradually increase your fitness and finish times. Each week you will receive two recommended days of training, one coached group run, one coached strength and conditioning OR outdoor track workout, and one resistance band + mobility/stretch class delivered your inbox!
With Fleet Feet Treasure Valley, you will truly find joy in the journey of training alongside a top-notch coach, dedicated group mentors, and special community of connected and committed individuals from ALL fitness levels and backgrounds.
The Big Run Training program culminates with 5/10K Race on June 7th, in celebration of Global Running Day. More than a race, The Big Run is a celebration of running and the community it pulls together. Our goal race will be Treasure Valley Rescue Run. (Can't make the June 7th date? Never Fear, there will be a "make up 5K" opportunity on June 14th in Caldwell. Although this is not our official goal race, Coach A.K. will still be there to cheer you on and support you through BOTH events this year. Stay tuned for more details for this alternative).

Info Night #1 Monday March 17th from 6-7pm at Fleet Feet Nampa
Info Night #2 Thursday March 20th from 6-7pm at Fleet Feet Meridian
Kickoff Party and Group Run March 31st at 5:30 at Kleiner Park for the run and finishing up at Fleet Feet Meridian for our kickoff party!
Tentative Training Week Outline
Sundays Coach A.K. will send out an email with all the info you will need for the week. Locations, workout focuses, etc
Wednesdays (A/B schedule) -
- Week A: Strength and Conditioning Workout for Runners 6pm at Guardian Physique
- Week B: Track Workouts (Speed, RunSkills, Pacing, etc) at various High School Tracks (alternation between Boise and Nampa locations)
Thursdays- Resistance Band + Mobility Exercise Video
Saturdays- Group Run/Walk at Various Treasure Valley Locations at 8:30 AM
