2015 Spring Make It A Mile
Make It A Mile is a four-week walking or walk/running program designed to help beginners take the first steps to getting healthy by completing one mile. The program includes a safe, guided training plan designed to allow you to work at your own pace in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the four weeks, you'll be able to complete one mile with a healthy, happy, and strong feeling. We encourage participants to exercise at their own comfortable pace.
Coached Workouts: Thursdays at 6:00pm at Fleet Feet Sports starting May 21st, 2015 at Gateway Family Medicine
Cost: $25
*Note: After the program, Individuals in "Make It A Mile" can apply their $25 towards any 2015 Program Registration!
Program Details: Coached workouts are one hour and include a short run walk (building up to 1 Mile), strength work, stretching, and education. Participants will receive a weekly e-mail with tips for getting active while staying injury free. Make It a Milers will have access to our Novant Health Athletic Trainer and Dietitian.
